Hey, gang. Glad to see you all here and I hope we continue to grow by leaps and bounds !!! If GM won't do it right, WE'LL get our word out there !!!!!
Anyway, I still have quite a few things to bug out- the color of the fonts on the reply window, plus just the fact that there is a reply window instead of the more conventional one-window approach... We're missing NEXT and PREVIOUS buttons... Got a few things to do, so you'll probably see weird going-ons from time to time as I figure it out Please feel free to let me know what y'all think. Anything suggestions are appreciated A couple rules, which I want to keep to a minimum. I've kept the censors off for the time being. I don't mind y'all expressing yourselves, but there's no need to type a bunch of profanity. If you gotta say something, maybe swap in an asterisk or something along those lines No nudies, gang !!!! Plenty of other places for that !!!! Really, we're all adults (well, for the most part anyway On the avatars, I asked the support folks about them being distorted. They tell me since the size limit is 75x75, if your avatar isn't a full 75x75, it automatically stretches it to fit. That sucks. Sorry. Does anyone know how to tweak that ?? Worse case scenerio, if you can't tweak yours to fit right, send me an email with it and I'll be happy to do it for you Thanks, gang. And let me hear what y'all think !!! Happy Quaddin' !! Only way I know of is to scale it up (evenly both horizontal and vertical) until the smallest dimension is 75 pixels, then crop the sides that exceed the 75 pixels. You loose some of the picture but you retain the scale. I use MS Photo Editor but I expect there are others equal or better. If the result does not achieve your desired result I ran into the same predicament with the pic of my truck I wanted to display. In the end, my dog's smiling face won. It's OK though...they are both Black Dawgs! 2003 Silverado Crew Cab 1500HD 4x4 Quadrasteer 6.0L BLACK...like the dog! Oops, it could be that you need to scale it down evenly until the smallest dimension is 75 pixels then crop out the rest.
Also just noticed that SS Crew has a new AVATAR that is wider than it is high. In that case it is the LARGEST dimension that is 75 pixels. No cropping is required but you still need to submit a 75x75 image. Maybe he can elaborate on his method. SS Crew, what say you? Say, Mr Q., perhaps this should be posted to a different forum?? I'll leave that up to you. Cheers all... 2003 Silverado Crew Cab 1500HD 4x4 Quadrasteer 6.0L BLACK...like the dog! Hey.... whatta ya know ?!!? It is !! How'd ya do that, Crew ?!!?
Infopoop has been talking about implementing certain upgrades for a while now, maybe they fixed the avatar issue... Dawg, and the rest of you, if you use the NEW SINCE LAST VISIT under the FIND tab, where posts are makes little difference. It'll show what's new across the board. It works pretty well- it usually shows me everything new, up to and including MY last post. It's pretty much what I use (even tho I get an email with every post ______________________________________________________________________ MrQuadrasteer QuadrasteerClub.com 2003 Chevy 1500HD CrewCab 2wd Quadrasteer 6.0l, 4L80E, 3.73 Wester's 91/93 tune, aFe cai, 186* stat, t/body bypass, E-Load Revos 302rwhp |

QUOTE] I just chose a picture from google images and copied and pasted the site to the avatar box. The avatars can only be posted from hosted sites. In other words, you can't post one of your own edited images. I hope that helps. You mean like this one I created using a picture of last year's drunken pumpkin? I haven't got the border fill color just right yet but you get the general idea. In this case my image (obviously) is a vertical rectangle but it could really be any shape you want. If you use MS Photo Editor, you can pad out the "non-square" image to a complete 75x75 pixel image by adding margins. I colored the margins using the "Paint" program. As I said, I need to refine the margin color so that it matches the background color here on our site but you get the general idea. Try it! 2003 Silverado Crew Cab 1500HD 4x4 Quadrasteer 6.0L BLACK...like the dog! "What does the dog say?"...Woof Woof...grrr Oh ya, and I removed those UGLY "4x4" decals on the rear fenders! |

Quoting my own quote, I think I have the margin color matched now. If anyone wants more info on how to do this or just wants to send me their pic via PM, I would be happy to format it for them.
