As far as I know, GMT-800 series 4x4 trucks all use a variant of the New Venture Gear 2-piece transfer cases. That includes the 1/2 ton stuff as well as the larger 3/4 & 1-ton units: The NV241, NV246, NV243, NV261 and NV263 cases.
I believe it might be either the NV-246 or 243 T-case, but I'm not sure. Does anyone know which NV cases were used on the 1500 (1/2-ton) and 2500 (3/4-ton) Quadrasteer trucks? FYI, for those of us who plan to keep our trucks for a long while, you might want to look into upgrading your transfer case pump.
