I have a 2003 Sierra with 47k, I purchased it used from a dealer with GM Certified. The truck is now 1400 miles out of warrenty and the transmisson blew apart. GM does not plan on fixing it. I had to take it to a private tranmission shop to have fixed, because the local dealer could not get to the trans for 2-3 weeks, and the purchasing dealer would not pay for towing (over $300 one way. As it was the truck broke down in front of the transmission shop. The overdrive clutch came apart.
Has anyone had any problems with theirs? Are there any TSB's or any unlisted GM info on the problem? I did find that GM did recall the 2004's for a bad pump, causing the same problem.

I would like GM to pay for the repairs. I have the remains of the parts in a box.
Anyone have a back ground in getting GM to pay for repairs?

Thank You, (now broke and owing the credit cards companies) Michael
