Howdy. A Denali Quadrasteer will be mine eventually. What is the model year that has worked out the bugs best, while keeping the price down by not being the last year Quadrasteer was offered? Or, in fact, is it the last Quadrasteer Denali year that is most bug free?

2005 was the last year. I have a 05 crew cab serria 1500HD with the Denali conversion done at the dealer. The Serria gives you the larger Trans with out the AWD. I thought that the AWD mite eat more gas so I looked for the Serria. I have had no problems with it other then it will kick out some times. If you hit some ruff roads and move the sterring wheel a lot it will kick out sometimes. I bought it used and was told by several people that the last year was the best. There is a lot of software involved in it and it took some years to work out the problems. I thank that the basic parts are the same except for the rear ends 1/2 or 3/4 ton and lug nuts holes.
You should be able to pickup an 05 for the same price as an 03 or 04. Trucks are selling far below Blue Book because of the gas prices. |

Thanks. I plan on buying one when I get back to the states. It will be the Denali, as the AWD is what has me looking at them. I sold my Ram when I came over here. I like Dodge, but they do not offer an AWD Transfer Case. I had a Yukon in a previous life. Was not impressed. Especially when the water pump let go just after 30K. 5.7 Vortec. I have heard the 6 Liters can be noisey with piston slop. True? I will buy one anyway. Ever since my 79 Full Time 4 Wheel Dodge Powerwagen, I have wanted another. I have had a Talon and so on. I like AWD. Anybody worried about gas mileage out there with a Denali..........I am your man. :-)

I have had an 02 Silverado 1500 with qs and a 03 Sierra 1500hd and have had no issues. The 02 had many performance upgrades and would kick put of qs but would return once the ignition was cycled. The 03 was problem free. Just make sure the rear gear oil is replaced with the corrrect part number...you can find it on this site. Any of the 6.0s will use more gas then the 5.3s. Gears, trannys and more make the difference in your mileage. You'll find lots of good info on here...by the way Welcome!
03 QS Arrival Blue, 6.0, Leather, Heated Seats, True Duals.SOLD and regretting it. Project car 67 Camaro. |
