Hey, glad I found you guys - there is a LOT of info here.
Not sure if this has been posted before, if so then apologies but the rear wheels have locked on me a couple of times and before I pay the stupid amounts the dealers want me the hand over I wanted to ask here.
This happened when I was pulling out of a parking space, the rear wheels stuck, Service 4 Wheel Steer came on and the truck started to drift. Pulled over, turned off then back on, wheels straightened out and set off again.
Second time was doing a U-turn, this was the one that freaked me out as I could barely control it, but managed to pull over and switch off again.

So, is this something that is common or at least heard off? I'm concerned that it will happen on a busy road or something so for the moment 4WS is off and I'm missing it, my truck isn't the same without it.

Thanks,

Mike.

Welcome Mike;

Does this only happen when turning at one direction or both? Did you have the codes checked? Rear wheels are spring-loaded and they should turn back to the center position when there is a malfunction. Check if there is anything obstructing the wheel rotation.

Great question, only when I go to the left. Di it the other night picking a friend up so 4WS back off for the time being.
Nothing looks to be in the way of the wheels but I am NOT mechanically minded. Am I likely to get screwed taking this to a dealer?
