I'm sure we have QS owners from all the country, some of you use your truck to pull toy box trailer, 5th wheels, boats, or just love having a truck that you can whip a u-ie anywhere and can park in the tightest spots.

Let's hear what you do for a living, I'll start:

I am a construction superintendent for a nation-wide company. I orchestrate and schedule putting up tilt-up buildings from site grading to final inspections. These are buildings where the concrete walls are formed and poured on the floor of the building and lifted with at crane and placed in their respective locations. Lately I've been putting up these multi units on one site.

I'll post a pic of the buildings I put up when I get home.

New edit: Here's a pic of 2 of the 19 buildings on the last job site I did:

Sounds like an interesting job Crew! As for me, I am a computer tech at an investment firm. Obviously I don't need a truck for work, but I do enjoy being able to park it in tight spaces since I live and work downtown! thumbs up 2

I will also use it to tow snowmobiles this winter...looking forward to using the 4WD!

I am software engineer (more specific - database programmer) and this is my second truck. My first was a Ford (ouch, was I not suppose to say that here). Seriously, I am a Ford person but I bought my SD truck because I liked the light markers on the top and on the bed. Only short time later I realized it was QS so I told the sell man to get the keys. I now like Chevy trucks much better because they load it with much more features and damn it drives nice too but deep down I am a Ford person so shoot me.

I am the operations manager on a large support contact. I am responsible for support for about 300 servers and 15000 PCs from San Juan to Manila, most are state side.

My truck is used to support my 95-year-old house. The bed is full about 2 times a week ether headed for the dump or returning from Lowe’s, Home Depot, The Rock Yard or the Mulch/Top Soil Lot. My max load is about 2170 lb. I know, I know….but it’s a truck. I probably need a 1500hd! This is my 6th pickup. I have had everything but a Nissan. I have only been happy with my 86 Chevy Stepside and my Quadrasteer. I must admit my brand loyalty currently it to Quadrasteer so if another brand adopts it, I will be looking. I kept the 86 Chevy for 11 years and still regret trading it in. This truck will be with me a while unless another Quadrasteer option pops up.

Hey SS Crew, if you're ever in Charleston, SC doing a Tilt Wall Job, look me up. I work for one of 45 branches of a nation wide crane company. I've been operating cranes for over 18 years and doing sales for 3 years. We do a lot of tilt up here along the east coast. I've been using my GMC 1500 hd SLT Qsteer Qcab 4X4 as a sales truck. Thank goodness the company pays for the gas and payment.

Same to you Awphil03, if you're ever out here in the Los Angeles area.

You've got a sweet deal with your outfit. I wish my outfit would pick up my payments and gas. I do get a gas card and a truck allowance, but they get upset if we use the gas card. (You know the field guys get crap while the office gets all the good perks).

I'm based out here in sunny So Cal and there's more work than you can shake a stick at right now (for the moment), so it looks like I'll be here for a while.

Then you might have heard of the company I work for. They have several branches in California. It's Maxim Crane Works. It's the largest crane rental company in the US.

I've seen your rigs. Our subs use Mr. Crane, Bragg Crane and Crane Rental Service. Maybe you've heard of us - Panattoni Construction. We've got a few big projects going on in the Dallas and Houston areas of Texas, and I know of a couple in Des Moines, Iowa.

We have 5 or 6 branches in Texas, 1 in Dallas. I'm not sure if they'll be there after this weekend though, Rita might wash them up into Oklahoma.

I am a retired former owner of a small (but nationwide) borehole geophysical service firm. Also used to be involved with a geophysical instrument manufacturer.

Have had numerous 4x4s (PUs and SUVs) since '74. This one replaced a Tahoe so we could take a Polaris Ranger along with friends & family in the Colorado high country. Curently have 2 PUs and 2 Jeeps.

Have just over 8K on the 1500HD in about 6 months. Great truck!

I'm another (ugh!) software "guy". We work mostly in large warehouse/distrbution sites with automated storage and retrieval systems, carousels, conveyors etc. Even though we are headquartered in Canada, many of our clients are in the US. We have a field office in Florida which I don't get out to nearly enough Frowner. I really like my job, I meet lots of great people in my travels and the company helps pay for the use of the truck Big Grin. Unfortunately, they don't pay for the beer cheers
