Hey, good call on the topic, SS Crew.

I'm a Yacht captain based out of south Florida (Palm Beach) with yearly three month jaunts to New England. Over the years, I've driven boats fron 50' to 180' , but since the arrival of twin boys a year and a half ago, I have settled down with ( as you will see) a fantastic boss and an absolutely gorgeous 50' down east style motor yacht.

I got the Sierra QS mostly on the advice of my boss, who subsequently purchaced it for me! If that's not a good employer, I'm clueless. (I guess he got tired of seeing my ratty old Dodge Dakota around.)

My intention is to use the QS for towing boat trailers and moving my bosses and my family's "stuff" up and down the East coast. Up to now however (6,000 miles in two months), it has towed only one trailer from NY to Fla and maintained a constant grin on my face.

Whipping around the increasingly crowded parking lots of Southern Florida has suddenly become entertaining!

I am an electrical systems engineer for Caterpillar. I integrate all the ecms, gauges and sensors into the large earthmoving equipment that we sell. My group mostly handles wheel loaders and backhoe loaders. I purchased my truck because I have an affinity for big tuff machines Cool

I am a Systems Engineer who is helping a government agency figure out its Business Architecture. Lots of big words to say how can a company get better and work more efficiently over the next 20 years.

As for the truck I use it to haul my boat around during the summer. Also lots of stuff for yard work and improvements at the house. The most fun I have with the truck is when I turn on my red emergency lights and have to respond to the fire station. In the evenings I am a volunteer fire fighter so getting to the station is necessary as you can imagine. The handling of the truck through the curves is just totally unbielevable.

Have a nice day.

Bill

I am a builder of homes for the handicapped as well as a concrete contractor. You wouldn't believe the things that I pull with my 03 Denali when the dump is out running, or it is time to move from one job to the other. If I have my choice of driving my Denali or a dump truck, and it is a safe load, guess what.

Let me give this a shot.
I am a tickeded Carpenter, and also have a degree in Computer Science. My current employer is the federal government. I work for the Canadian Coast Guard. I live and work at a lighthouse in the middle of nowhere - helicopter access only (or boat too I guess). Search and Rescue, Marine Weather Reporting, Air and Marine Traffic and Support, Station Maintenance, etc.

Check it out: http://fogwhistle.ca/bclights/index.php . I am based at Carmanah, and have worked at or filled in most of the others. This is a 12 hour a day job - 7 days a week. We are completely self sustained (power, water, etc.) If you are into hiking we are in a Federal Park (Pacific Rim National Park) and are at approx. day 4 of a 7 - 8 day hike. The trails closed in the winter so it is pretty quiet out here, but the summer lets me meet lots of different folks from all over th globe. I guess I don't use my truck... ever!!!... except when I am on holidays. During my 12 hours off each day I am still on call. I still haven't even driven it yet, BUT I GOT IT!!!

I test drove one in 2002 just for kicks and made it a goal to own one one day.
