My tax guy told me that this is the last year that I can write off my truck so I need to buy another one before December 31, 2006. So went and checked out one of the 2500HD trucks with the high output Duramax LBZ engine and the 6 speed Allison tranny - Wow, is that thing sweet....and quiet. It's actually quieter than my truck as far as engine noise is concerned. If I needed to get another truck now, this would be the one. It actually rides over the expansion joints along the freeway that make my truck bounce (and make my soda go flat), nice and smooth.

It looks like I'll have to part with my truck at the end of this year, hopefully this fall when the new body styles (GMT-900's) are out the HD's will be out too, and to everybody's surprise the Quadrasteer (hopefully) will be available on the trucks that need it - long beds and the HD series.

It sure has been a good ride, maybe GM's marketers will do a little more research and offer some QS clinics to prospective truck buyers in the not so distant future.

I don't think I'll hold my breath.

I definatly would not hold your breath for a new Quadrasteer. With Delphi going tits up in Bankruptcy I think it is over for Quadrasteer.

I may be in the same situation only by the end of 2007. I really don't want to sell my quad though if I can't get another one.

It looks like I can squeeze off a couple of more years out of my truck, so I won't be selling it anytime soon.
