If the gentleman from Delphi is still available to answer the following:
Living in the NorthEast, a few trips through the car wash during the worst winter months are almost unavoidable.
What front to rear stresses or alignment concerns should we be aware of, when the track through the car wash is not quite wide enough to accomodate the extra width of the rear axle ? My truck is a 2004 GMC Sierra Denali AWD with QS Thanks DH

I run my truck thru the carwash and I'm running 305-50-20 wheels and tires. With stock wheels and tires, you should be fine.

I personally go to a hand wash place. They get it "CLEAN". And $20 bucks for "in and out" it's a great deal (South Sacramento, CA). But I have taken my truck though the machine washes. As long as they accomidate the tires you have then it should not be a problem. Just be sure to put her in 2 wheel steer.

The first car wash I tried to drive through, I GOT STUCK. It was a very tramatic experience, since my truck was new to me at the time.

I have aftermarket wheels that stick out a little further than stock.

My truck either gets handwashed or stays dirty now!

When I enter a car wash in 4WS, something changes my mode to 2WS. It does it automatically.
How?

When you put the gear in to N, neutral, 4WS system switches to 2WS mode, and the indicator light on the QS selector button should start flushing. System switches back to 4WS when you put the gear in to drive or reverse and the steering wheel is centered.
