Hi,
I am looking at a 2005 Suburban LT 6.0L engine 4x2 with the Quadrasteer. I have a concern with the expected life of the Quadrasteer system and am wondering if anyone out there has a high mileage vehicle they can comment on. Chevy no longer puts these on, so I'm concerned that if there is a problem, I'd be stuck.

The Suburban is in really good shape and I keep my vehicles up to about 200k miles so need to be able to rely on this truck. It will mostly be used by the soccer mom, with some towing and long trips thrown in over the next 10 years.

Any other issues I should be aware of with a 2005 Suburban with the 6.0 engine?

Thanks!

I wouldn't be affraid if the Sub looks like it has been taken care of. Take the VIN to a local GM Service department and ask to see what has been replaced and when. It will be referred as a GMVIS. If it hasn't had any major problems you should be in the clear. keep in mind you should also keep it maintained. Let us know how it turns out.
