Ok I was reading up on the Torque management removal during the tuning process. Some were saying that in order to remove this completely you need to add a shift kit or do some other beefing of the transmision. Now is this in regards to trucks with the 4L60 Tranny's? Am I correct in saying that my 1500HD has a 4L80(e).
In short with the 4L80 I should be ok removing 100% of the torque management from the computer with no other mods, right? Is this suggested or not? |

Westers did my tune and they take out most of the torque mgmt also. I have a 1500 and they didn't mention that the trans needed to be beefed up. They have done most of the guys on here I think and I haven't heard anything about that before.

This is a post from another forum. I guess what I am refering too is removing the torque management completely, not just reducing it.

That is a good article! I didn't know about those other mods in detail like that. Anyone else familiar with trans mods or heard anything about them after taking off the Torque mgmt?
