Well, I guess this is an electrical questions. I have a 2003 Crew Cab LT with the dual zone climate control. I have often wondered what the temp in the cab is. I couldn't find it anywhere. Outside is on my rear view mirror but I want inside. Then I thought I would set the AC/heat until it turned off but I never got it to that point. Am I missing something? Does anyone know of a simple way to display the in-cab temperature?

Here's examples of products;

In the past, a indoor-outdoor digital thermometer kit that was a stick-on addition for an automobile, in the auto department at Wal-Mart for about eight dollars. Probably also at hardware or the larger Home Depots/Lowes.

Another idea; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Indoor-Outdoor-Digital-C...0QQitemZ300145289557

Thank you for that link to the eBay item. It just really stumps/irks me. The system has to know the temperature in order for it to send more cool or warm air so why is there not a feature to display it?

That's the senser above your head, mounted in the roof, on the driver's side.

I agree, I'd like the added benefit of that temperature displayed too.

If the AC is working right it's only a few minutes and the temp is what you have it set for. Longer for the heat.

Do you know any manufacturers that display acutal and set temps? Driven lots of rentals and haven't ever seen one that does that.

Yup, that is true. However, sometimes I'll be driving along and have the AC or heat on and maybe the cab temperature would be just fine without it. I can never tell if the AC/Heat goes off when it reaches temp so I am in the dark. I am on the conservative side so I would prefer not to run those system that I don't really need. So I turn the AC/Heat off for awhile to see what the difference it. It would just be a lot simpler if it could display the current temp.

Now that you mention it, I don't either. I also drive lots of rentals. I'll start to pay attention to that. But gosh, with all the gadgets they come up with these days, it seems like an obvious omission not to have it.
