I have a 2005 Yukon XL 2500 4wd/4ws. I currently am running the stock 245's. I was thinking about going to 285's, but all that I can find are load range C or D. I haul a lot of weight and frequently tow 5000#+. I would like to stay with load range E tires. If I go with the 265's will I have to make any wheel well alterations? I would like to go with a more aggressive tred that OEM because I run on the beach farly often, but I also do a lot of over the road, and I don't want to be hummed to sleep at the wheel by my tires. Tire suggestions and insight would be appreciated.

Check out the current thread just below this one titled "Help, I need tires". I believe some of the information you are looking for is there. I posted in some tire sizes my local dealership gave me that will fit without any modifications.

Have a nice day.
