Hi, GasMan. Welcome to the Club cheers

Correct, GM will no longer sell their 20" wheels on 1500HDs because of liability reasons, something about too close of clearance or something, I think. Maybe someone here knows more about it.

I never looked into it too deep, as I'm not a big fan of 20" wheels... I've seen some way-sweet Quads on 20's, but I prefer a little more sidewall. I think 18" wheels and 37" rubber should look just about right drool drool drool

Anyway, that's not to say you can't run 20's. LOTS of Quadrasteers are running around on 20's, even 22's. We have guys here with big wheels. Look on the homepage and in the pictures section. Make sure and add your ride for us to enjoy thumbs up 2 !!!!

I say find the wheel of your choice and go with it. I haven't heard of any wheel-related failures of any sort. I think check the backspacing and width and you'll be fine.

I also know there's a lot of room in back for more rubber. In fact, you'll rub up front before you do in back, even at full cut Wink

Let us know what you do cheers

Happy Quaddin' Cool !!!!

I'd love to see GM go for a set of 8-lug forged aluminium Alcoas in an 18" so we could opt for larger brakes. Seems like a good utility/performance compromise.

My thoughts exactly, Pete.

I used to not be such a big fan of 20" wheels, but I'm starting to see a few more...umm, shall we say... tasteful ones coming out. Not so gaudy, just big.

I want 18's Big Grin Like you said, it'll then fit big brakes, it keeps a nice sidewall height for a better ride than 20s and probably a longer lasting rim, and good heavy-duty tires are readily available.

Man, some factory 18" Alcoas drool

Shoot, GM would never do anything so cool Roll Eyes cry
