I had a seal around my center clearance light that leaked water. It was like Lake Havasu in my cup holders! bang head

Thanks, DrtyBrty, for the comment about a leak around (what I presume to be) the front center clearance light. After prolonged torrential rains here this summer, we had drips coming from the center control pod above the windshield. I have not seen such again, and have not yet asked a dealer (we're under warranty!) to check it out, but I suspected either that light bar or the GPS antenna (the latter since I think the GPS reception has been a little off since then).

Hey ODDBALL, I drive a 2003 yukon xl quadrasteer, 2500, 6.0, 4.10 The water seems to always end up in the drivers side floor area. Under the mat, while the mat is totally dry. It's either coming down the firewall or the A pillar.

In the winter time w/ my factory floor mats or Husky floor linears I always build a lot of moisture. Not only in my qs but also in my avalanche. It seems like alot of water almost to much for moisture but when I take out the mats for a few days I have no problems.

I was installing subs under a rear seat of a chevy ecab the otherday and noticed he too had a lot of moisutre in his carpet. There is a insulation mat under the carpet that the suspect to this problem. I would think if you used some sort of plastic or tarp between the carpet and this pad you will have no problems.

If we get a lot of heavy rain, I do get a small puddle on my driver's side mat, not every rain, just long steady or very heavy rains.

I have never lifted the mat to check under but will next time I see it collect there. I guess an inspection to my cab lights is in order?
