I need to remove a front door panel, and since they always tend to have parts that are easily broken I was hoping someone had done it. I may have to get a panel puller tool, but those seem to vary as well, so any advice there would be appreciated too.

I haven't removed our new truck's door panels yet, but just about every door panel I've ever removed has been basically the same-

Look the entire panel over for any screws. I went and looked at mine, I'm guessing our panels will be very similar, I found a screw that appears to hold the pocket in place at the bottom of the panel, and one behind the grab bar. If the pocket lifts out after removing the screw, there may be more fasteners behind there.

The switch housing looks like it pops up at the front and lifts out. That's how my Blazers came out, anyway. Unplug it.

Remove the triangle piece that hides the mirror mounts. It and the panel itself look like they're gonna be held in place with those plastic trim fasteners- they push in easy enough but resist pulling out.

Carefully pull the panel away from the door. Do small lengths at a time, working you're way around. Don't try topull it all in one pass, just a little at a time. A thin, flat plastic tool of some sort might help.

I'm guessing that's about it. You'll want to replace all those plastic trim fasteners to keep the panel good and tight. Some may look like they'll reuse fine, but they won't. And don't over tighten any metal fasteners !!

Good luck. So whatchya gonna do- fix it yourself, try to find a boneyard door ?? Pop it out some yourself ?? Just bite the bullet ?!!?
