I read that the GM 20" wheels will not work on trucks equipped with Q-steer. Anyone know why? I would like to upgrade the wheels (not necessarily the GM wheels) are there problems running 20" wheels on these trucks?

Just found this board. Excellent info here. I absolutely love my truck. Very satisfied with the Q-steer.

Hi, welcome to the Club, 7T8 cheers

Can you find that again and post a link ?? I've never heard that.

Now, I did read something about GM recalling factory-installed 20's on 1500HD's, although I also read it was kinda bogus. I really didn't follow too close, cuz... well, I ain't got 20's !!

I can find the link...

But to answer your original question, yes, 20's CAN be fit to Quadrasteers Big Grin We have some guys here with 'em Wink

So, gotchya a Quad, want a Quad, just pokin' around ?!!?

Take it easy.

I've got 20" wheels on my truck, I'm running 305-50's on mine. The only trimming I had to do was trim off the front fender liners, otherwise every time you back up, the tires grab it and make a very unpleasent sound. Body clearance - no probems whatsoever. Maybe if I went with a slightly smaller tire, but you know, the bigger the better.
thumbs up

I already have an '03 extended cab Silverado LT w/ quadrasteer. I had hoped to trade it for a new crew cab later this year. But, it looks like I missed out on that one. I also have a question about body lifts but I will post it in the other section. Thanks for the quick replies.

There are still new ones available, but they are getting more scarce by the day...

We had a local dealer mention he had three on the lot this weekend on the radio patriot
