If you have a "Service 4WS" message on your DIC, then that means your truck has thrown a code.

If it has thrown a code, then that means ANY GM dealer can scan the truck for the code, no matter how little experience they may have with Quadrasteer, and no matter where they are located.

A GM dealer can be in the Middle East or the Middle of America, and never before have seen or even heard of Quadrasteer, and still scan your truck to determine what code was set, which is the root piece of information needed to diagnose and resolve what the problem is.

Below is link to the address of a GMC dealer in Kuwait that will have a GM scan tool:

GMC Servicing Dealer in Kuwait

Once you know what code your truck is throwing, you can then come back online and post the code, and those around here with service manuals will be able to tell you what module the code relates to. Your Kuwait GM dealer will be able to tell you the same thing, based on the established service manual from GM, but if you don't wish to rely on them, you can easily verify the information you receive online with owners here in the states, who will eventually refer to their copies of the same GM service manual.

After discovering what parts you want to throw at it to fix it yourself, you can try ordering them from here:

Or, for mere money, someone here in the States can send them to you.

One thing you might try is to unplug, throroughly clean, and reconnect all the wiring harnesses to the rear steering computer module on the driver's frame rail in the rear (silverish heat sink looking box about a foot long, drop the spare tire first). Also, check the connection at the bottom of the electrical steering gear below the rack and pinion cover of the rear axle.

That should get you started.

Note that not all generic scanners can pull proprietary chassis codes. So you indeed are better off having the truck scanned by someone with access to GM programmed scan tools.

Also, there might be more Quadrasteers in the Middle East than one might think. Some of the armoured Suburbans shipped over there had Quadrasteer... so don't just think Denali. There are Chevy trucks with Quadrasteer as well.

Good luck getting your issue resolved. Scanning is the most logical and important first step.
