I was wondering if it would be easilly possible to upgrade to quadrasteer on my 05' Denali CC (TK15543). I am wondering as far as mounting locations... is it a bolt up installation? Of course adding flares, a QS control unit, and wiring the button to the dash... what else would I need? I believe theres a sensor on the steering column i would have to get and rig up to work, but that's about as far as I have gotten in my search. The bigggest question for me is the axle mounting up, what has to be moved as far as axle mounts and spring perches?

Thanks, --Chad--

Just to close out the topic, I have done the research and it is pretty much a plug'n'play setup. The axle bolts up and the electronics only need basic rewiring(tying into factory data network, power, etc.) and also installing the steering sensor on the column and whalla, you've got quadsteer... will be installed into my truck soon... the first Quadrasteer Crew Cab Denali I know of...

Thanks for that research. Just to be clear, the D60 axle has the threaded bolt locations cast in for the q-steer unit, in standard form? Or do you have to reference a certain part number of that axle series to be sure you recieve the mounting locations for the Q-steer unit.

Right off, you will need to either extend your bed or get a 1500HD truck and convert that truck to a Denali unless you are creative with the plastic body panels they use on the QS truck beds...or just fab some fender flares they use on the QS Suburbans.

The Denali CC truck has the 5'- 6" bed where the 1500HD truck has a 6'- 6" bed. I'd think that you'd be money ahead just trying to find a QS truck on it's own. But that's just me. (I've been known to be a half bubble off.)

Whatever you do good luck, it sounds like a major undertaking doing a conversion of that caliber.

Not to mention needing the recalibration for the PCM, ABS, BCM, and any other modules that share data with the steering module.

And the discreet VSS input.

And the wiring harnesses, which are multiplexed, such that a given circuit could carry signal data for more than one function... do you know which modules share data and functions?

And since the QS axle adds 273 pounds of unsprung weight, are your current springs and shocks tuned for that?

I'd love to see you get 'er done, but based on owning one of these, and having read a great deal of the factory service information, the hill might be a lot steeper climb than just getting the spring perches right.

I hope you succeed... because that is one nut I wouldn't even attempt to crack.
