Body shop tells me GM no longer sells the entire QS rear-end, assembled. True? Mine is being replaced (hopefully) due to sideswipe that seriously damaged rear-end. I have low miles on my '05 GMC Sierra. I believe I have the 411 gears (or there-about...I'd have to look up my paperwork). Rather have new from GM but, if not, looking for low miles used. I'm in Sacramento, N.Calif. Any advice appreciated!

Schram is a good place to buy parts from. Keep in mind that you purchase to correct unit. The link listed by BC is for a 1/2 ton 6 lug. (incase you have the 8 lug).
If it's a insurance job why wouldn't they replace all the parts sepratley rather then pre-assembled? 03 QS Arrival Blue, 6.0, Leather, Heated Seats, True Duals.SOLD and regretting it. Project car 67 Camaro. |
