I asked this question in the Ask Delphi tech section but have not got any replies and almost no views. I want to add quadrasteer to my TK15543 chassis, what do I need? Will it bolt right up? Adding the electronics should be easy for me, but is there anything other than the control unit, dash button unit and adding a sensor on the steering column...? Also does anyone know aout the unit that mounts on the steering column? Thanks... --Chad--

The Dana 60 is a longer differential. You will have to shorten the drive shaft. You will also need a Quadrasteer bed so the tires will fit. The steering wheel sensor, is a steering wheel position sensor. Get a Helm service manual. The quadrasteer section is very detailed.

thanks for the reply. I would imagine the driveshaft from a Ext. Cab Sierra Denali would be a bolt-on replacement? I intend to flare the bed out. Do you know if a 2500 CC quadrasteer bed would mount up to the 1500 frame? I'll have to find the Helm service manual, any ideas where to find one for a decent price, or a digital version on cd or something?

No, a bed from a 2500 bed will not work on your truck since your bed length is 5'-8" and the 2500 bed is 6'-6". You probably would have to have your driveshaft custom made.

$135.00 is just a drop in the bucket for the Helm manual compared to what you'll be spending on the QS parts. You'd be better off just buying a crew cab QS and swapping out the interior and trim pieces to make the QS a Denali.

I don't know what I was thinking when I wrote that, I knew the bed was longer on the 2500... slow day. Also, I realize $135 is a small amount comparedly, but I like to look for deals before I jump out and buy anything at full price. Thanks for your reply. I ordered a DVD manual cheap on Ebay, we'll see how that works out and see if I can get away without the Helm manual for a little bit.

The helm manual is six books, 1.5" to 2" thick. It covers everthing in more detail then you could imagine. It is what the machanics at the dealer use.

Hey, thanks... actually I've spoken with them to find out some info on the axles they have. I got the DVD on ebay, it's great.... figured everything out by going through the schematics. the data just tags into the system anywhere, and the only other wire is the speedo wire from the instr. panel... other than that, power, ground, and steering wheel position sensor and i'll be set to go... now I'm just gathering my $$ together.

So any progress on this? Interested in how this project works out when you get done. Might try to slip one under my truck.
