I just got home with my '05 Yuk xl Quadrasteer. The 4ws is astonishing. Now I'm looking to spiff it up a bit. I've already bought a pair of GMC2500HD door badges. I plan to replace the YUKON XL's on the door. Does anyone have a good way to remove the old badges?

I've been reading about the high performance intakes. Do they really work, and are they worth the money? Which one do I buy?

Run a fishing line under the badge to cut the tape. Then remove the glue, w/glue remover.
Cold air intakes are good for about 18 hp. All are about the same, $250. I prefer the closed box type like Volant. They keep more engine heat out of the intake. Also replace the Mass air flow sensor, to reduce restriction, $350.

Welcome, Brian.

For your badges (we don't need no stinkin' badges !!!!), try some gentle heat with the wife's hair dryer (NOT a heat gun) and gentle, steady pulling. They'll come off eventually.

On intakes, I used to love my Volant. That is... until I got my aFe Big Grin

If you look around, my aFe made like 14rwhp MORE than the Volant drool

And it sounds better, too drool

(and I can get ya a good price on the aFe Big Grin go to the home page and visit the QSClub store Big Grin)

Eric,

Don't rule out the Volant yet. The test you ran used a older version of the Volant system. The newer one is supposed to be better. I'm researching it right now, and more have recommended the Volant than any other.

aFe is a great intake, but I wouldn't ignore the Volant.

Hey Prophet,
I see you have a 80 mm throttle body. How do you like it? I am going with the Vette 90 mm throttle body. I will post when I get it done.

Has anyone tested the Vararam intake? The numbers/performance claims on their website are impressive.
