I noticed out on the TByrne website that one mod that is offered is a 1.85:1 ratio rocker arm. First, I have heard that increasing rocker arm ratio actually decreases horsepower and torque in the lower RPM range but gives you a boost in the upper range. Anyone have any idea if this is true?
Second, just wondering whether any of you had ever heard of the "HotRocker" which supposedly gives you "variable valve actuation on a pushrod engine." See the following link: http://www.hotrocker.com Supposedly gives you 4 different rocker arm ratios across the RPM range... but creates more moving parts... of course, if we were afraid of more moving parts we wouldn't be Quadrasteer afficionados. Finally, could Lyndon/Westers do a tune that took full advantage of the 4 different rocker arm ratios? Haven't seen a new topic in this section recently, so thought I'd throw something out there to discuss. mswen |

Man, that's some spooky stuff !!!!! But really quite some engineering I sure would like to test drive an LS-motor with that valve train on it and see how it does... But I ain't guinea-piggin' !!!!!!!! ______________________________________________________________________ MrQuadrasteer QuadrasteerClub.com 2003 Chevy 1500HD CrewCab 2wd Quadrasteer 6.0l, 4L80E, 3.73 Wester's 91/93 tune, aFe cai, 186* stat, t/body bypass, E-Load Revos 302rwhp |
