I would like to get a wester's tune soon and am just looking for any input from others that have it as far as what they like/don't like or recommendations. I have an '03 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L and 3.73's. It's a daily driver so I don't want to get too aggressive, but I'm a power junkie too. Also lookin' to increase mileage of course too.

I'm planning on getting rid of the speed limiter...I need to adjust for oversized tires...maybe firmer shifts. How do your trucks shift with the tune?

Does it even out to bump up to the higher octane tunes (89 or 91) with the increase in mileage versus increase in fuel price?

I'm thinking probably something between 87 to 91 octane. Any ideas? Any tips are much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Mr. Quadrasteer- If you're still around, are you still a dealer?? thanks

I purchased my Wester's from the US distributor. Even though he handled them, he didn't feel matched injectors were worth it. I defer to others for their opinions on that point. I have a 2005 Sierra extended cab 4x4 with a 3.73 rear. I ordered an 87-91 dual tune set for economy. In my area, because of the altitude, regular gas is 85 octane. By switching to mid grade (87/88 octane) real gas (no ethanol) I picked up about 1.5 mpg around town according to the DIC. Premium is 91 octane (real gas)and I have run that too. I feel it adds another 0.5 mpg. On the road, at lower altitudes, I use 89 octane. No fast starts, easy on the gas - makes a big difference. I can feel the firmer shifts and the better response. Haven't redlined it, but can hit 4000 rpm with a little effort. Overall, I am pleased with the results, especially the mpg improvement.
