I noticed in your sig line that you have a Corsa cat back system. I know that Corsa does not make a system for the 1500HD / 2500 trucks. Which system did you get and how did you need to modify it to make it fit? Did you have the system before you did the headers and cats? Which system do you have, the touring or sport?

I have a Yukon XL. The system for the Suburban, Yukon XL, Yukon Denali XL, and Escalade ESV are all the same.

I have the Corsa Touring Edition, Part #14223. I installed it at the same time as the headers and cats. The Dynatech Supermaxx headers came with the high-flow cats. They designed (and marketed) the headers to be a direct swap for the factory headers and cats. The exhaust mounted as it would to a stock header/cats combo.

There have not been any design changes to the GMT-800-Suburban platform in years, and the Quadrasteer axle did not present a problem.

My bad, I thought you had a Sierra 2500, but thanks for getting back and answering my questions. Corsa does not make a system for the 1500HD / 2500 crew cab models so I thought you had modified a system to fit a crew cab truck - that's why I got all excited.

Thanks again for replying.

Mark cheers

Could you bring it to the local muffler shop and have them modify the Corsa as neccessary? I'd think that they should be able to weld on a few hanger bungs. I'd be pissed on having to modify an expensive exhaust out of the box too, but it might not be too bad.

Man, oh man.

As Prophet's long list of impressive (and $$$) modifications to his '05 YukonXL quad grows and grows (as his signature has promised from the very beginning "More to come...") my curiousity to see pictures of his rig has grown right along with his list.

Whattya say, Prophet?

I'll get some up, but except for the yellow Bilsteins and Denali Housings, it still looks stock. Everything else you have to look under the hood or under the chassis.

I have a mind to do exterior mods as well, but they will have to wait for more $$$ to come my way.

She needs a bath right now, but once this current storm passes through, I click some snaps off. Stand by for photos.

Hey SS Crew, Got the Corsa on today, got some pics for ya. The shop cut the y-pipe a little and it is slightly angled where they welded it up to the existing pipe, but I can't see where it would cause any restriction IMO. As far as how it sounds, OMG, tip your foot and it honestly sounds like you opened up some elec. cutouts. It is crazy how quiet or how loud you can make it from throttle manipulation. At idle and cruise it is pretty quiet (not like stock quiet by a long shot) but is pretty narly! I Love It.

This is where they cut and modded the Y-Pipe

They cut off the hanger behind the muffler and installed their own

The rear hanger lined right up

Since this Pic, I loosened and twisted the tips a little to get them to line up better. I need to get another pic because they look way better now, but I droped my camera. aarrrrg.

Lookin' good Bigcountry!

Is there any drone, or is it loud running between 75 and 85? Did you get the Sports or Touring system?

I've been looking on Ebay for a 6.0 system, maybe I could just get away with the muffler since I've already done the 3" mandrel tail pipe and tip.

No Drone At All!!! at any speed cruising. I've got the Sport system for a 2500HD Ex-Cab Short Bed. It is amazing that it can be so loud, but back down the throttle to cruise and it all goes away. Never heard anything like it.

And yes, If I were you I would buy a system, rob the Muffler, then sell the whole kit including your old muffler on E-bay. You would get decent money for it for just selling the new tip...........Or maybe split exit the rear and put the other Corsa tip on the Drivers side.OOOOOOOOhhhhhhhh Snap! lol
