As some of you might know I had a fuel pressure problem for some time. Well I got that fixed haven't put a pressure gauge on it but it is not falling on its face above 75 mph anymore. So I thought I would take it to the track and see some times before I put the bigger heat exchanger, 90mm throttle body and a re-tune.
Now these times are with an older tune.
1st run
60' 1.968
1/8 8.801 @ 78.682 mph
1/4 13.890 @ 96.432 mph

2nd run
60' 1.962
1/8 8.782 @ 79.000 mph
1/4 13.892 @ 94.336 mph

The second run I dropped my mph by 2 but everything else was pretty close.

When all is said and done within a couple of weeks I should be in the low 13's maybe high 12's
not bad for a 5800# truck
you should see the look on peoples faces when I beat them in there mustangs and camaro's.

Not bad at all, Mark!

Do you remove any excess weight on the truck before a run? If so, what's removed?

And if you don't mind one more question. Could you expand on the fuel pressure problem and how it was fixed. I remember reading comments in a thread sometime ago. Thanx.

No wieght reduction. 5800# race wieght.
When I first put the Radix on everything was fine. I put in 1.85 rockers and springs and updated my tune and it started falling on its face in the upper RPM rang. Put a fuel pressure guage on and I was at 61psi at idle and WOT it would drop down to 50psi and than creap up to 55psi but wouldn't go any higher. Thought my fuel pump was going bad, So I got another fuel pump and when I installed it I noticed that the fuel filter was folded up between the pump and the bucket so only about a inch and a half square of the filter was working instead of about 1-1/2 by about 4 inches(install error) It was fine until the last round of MODS when I needed more fuel and it couldn't keep up. I am shooting for low 13's to high 12's should be there with my next round of MODS

Thanks for going over that problem again.
I would think that with the rear bench and tailgate removed, that could shave off some tenths for ya. Both easily removed/replaced, at no cost.

Talking about fuel, I'll go ahead and ask this question about a fuel pump I obtained from a friend. It's a race pump from Stewart Development (item #1501)for the small block chevy. Here's their website: http://www.racepumps.com/
Would this piece be a benefit in our trucks? I know I don't have a pump on the chassis rail, like the cars do, but don't know if it could help or supplement the one in the tank.

Just looking for other's opinions and plan to post on the Denali truck website. Just hadn't had time to research the pump as of yet. Thanks again.
