Just thought I would put out an update about my truck. I completed the exhaust this weekend with Dynatech Supermaxx headers and high flow cats. Previously had put in the Corsa cat back exhaust and Airaid intake. It sounds nice and mean now. Along with the Westers tune now it feels like I get planted fully in the seat when I stand on it.

Continue to enjoy your QS's guys. Have a great day.

'Sounds' sweet, drool wish I could actually hear it.

Last vehicle I put headers on had an awful drone or thrum at constant speeds. How is yours when you're not getting on it?

It seems nice and quiet once I get up to speed. Now of course I am sure my wife will have a differing opinion.

Had to fix a leak last night so will really get on it today heading home from work and see what it is like with the windows down.

Also hopefully will be working out some dates with the wife later this week about our trip up there to MI. Will let you know so maybe we can get together for a beer.

The truck definitely has a little bit more noise now, but I like it. Even while at cruising speed you can hear a small amount of rumble from the rear. I am sure the wife will say something about it. But guess what, it is my toy and I get to use it the way I want to.

One thing I did notice is when I first start it up the noise is even louder. Seems that once things get warmed up the noise level goes down, wonder if that has something to do with the metal getting warmed up?

Yes, I did get the rebate check from Westers. I had totally forgotten about it and couldn't figure out for a minute why I had gotten the check.

I will do a private e-mail to you once we work out our dates for the trip up your way.

Have a great day.

Mine runs higher rpms until it is warm, maybe that's the source of your additional sound.

No, I haven't got my Wester's rebate yet and I bought mine 2-3 weeks before you bought yours. wtf

Hope the rebate comes in time for the first round!

Hey guys,

I know these msgs are a little old, but I was thinking of installing the Magnaflow cat back system on my truck. Have you heard if that is a good system to go with and if it fits ok with the QS? Any input or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I had a DOR (dual out the rear) Flowmaster American thunder kit on my QS. If I remember correctly I had to add a 2-3 inch length pipe (on the driver side) to clear the qs motor assembly in the rearend. I was decently pleased with sound and performance.

03 QS Arrival Blue, 6.0, Leather, Heated Seats, True Duals.SOLD and regretting it. Project car 67 Camaro.
