If that option was available, the dealers wouldn't be able to keep them in stock.

This website and others say it was an available option. Another website said duramax/quadrasteer was only available with 2WD.

Trying to help the guy who I just bought my 2004 ~ 2500 HD LT Quadrasteer from find a diesel QS that can pull his 31 foot Sea Ray.

It is posted correctly, but it is confusing.
In 2004 the 1500HD trucks were known as 2500LD's for light duty, in 2005 they became 1500HD's again. If you read the Crew Cab options, they are correct. The big block and diesel options were available on the 2500HD's not the 2500's, as for the QS option, it was available on the 2500's not the 2500HD's.

Very confusing, but it is written correctly.

A while back I found the following website

which specializes in conversion of Suburbans to the Duramax diesel. They change out the engine, add the Allison transmission, and front and rear axles.

If you want a diesel Quadrasteer bad enough, I'm sure that they would build one out for you... I have no idea on price for such a conversion... but no price could be too high to be the only diesel Quadrasteer out there...

I looked everywhere for a duramax with quadrasteer, I can't find it. I don't think they ever make them; So i'm going to build my own. Check out my post. Thanks.

I checked out the Duramax Suburban website and talked to the owner, he said that it would cost about $43,000 to convert my truck to a Duramax. If I had cubic dollars, that would be the way to go. But since I have to work for my money, it's out of the question.
