Hi All,
My wife found this site this morning. Wish I had found it a while ago.

Anyway, we've decided to sell our Class C RV and buy another pickup camper.
Unfortunately the camper weighs over 4000lbs empty, and takes an 8 foot bed.
We have a 2006 3500 Duramax dually that will arrive any day now, and sadly,
we need to sell our 2005 QS cry I had planned on keeping this truck for
10+ years.

Like many of you, I love this truck. Every now and then I put it back into
2W steering, just to remind myself why I got a QS. Unfortunately, we can't
afford two new pickups, despite what my 15 year old son says Smiler .

What we are selling:

2005 Chevy 1500HD 4WD crew cab QS
Approximately 13700 miles, about 2/3rds highway, 1/3rd city
Sport red metallic exterior paint color
LS interior decor package, dark charcoal deluxe cloth
6.0 Liter engine, of course, with automatic transmission
Autotrac, push button, transfer case
Quadrasteer Smiler
6-way bucket seats, electric on driver's side
AM/FM Bose stereo with CD and Cassette (Good for books on tape/CD on those long trips!)
Power extending outside rear view mirrors, with defrost and turn signals
HD trailering equipment
Polished aluminum wheels, 8 lug
Deep tinted glass
Front fog lamps
HD auxiliary battery
Redundant radio controls (on the steering wheel {I love this feature})
Skid plates
LT245/75R15/E on-off road black wall tires
Spare tire lock
GVR rating - 8600 LB
4.10 rear axle
Sticker Price: $41,132.00

Extras:
Line-X spray in bed liner, $425.00
Retractable anchors in the bed stake pockets

We are asking $27,950.00, OBO. We live in Colorado Springs, CO and will
deliver if you're not too far away, such as within 500 miles or so. Further
than that and we'll have to work something out, give us a call.

We ordered this truck and took delivery on March 14, 2005, and we are the
original owners. This is probably one of the last QS trucks GM built.

Due to the driver information center I've become a bit lighter on the gas
pedal. On the highways here in Colorado, climbing tall mountains, I get
14 to 16 MPG, 13 to 14 in town. All numbers are without towing. I did tow
a small cargo trailer about 2500 miles last summer and I hardly noticed it.
The only impact was during the 30+ MPR head wind through Kansas, which
hurt the mileage; dropped it to 10. It was 12 to 13 MPG otherwise. I've
kept a mileage log, which will stay with the truck.

Except when I'm playing around, I drive the truck in 4WS all the time.
Less than 1 mile in 2WS. It has never, ever, had an error or popped
into 2WS.

When I ordered the truck I made sure it would make a good tow vehicle.
Thus the 4.10 gears, the auxiliary battery, the extendable mirrors,
and the tow package.

We don't have pictures, but it looks like any nice clean, well appointed
truck from Chevy. I do have a 2005 Silverado brochure, the original window
sticker, and some quadrasteer decals that stay with the truck.

For more information give us a call, Brian and Renee Botton, (just like
cotton, but with a B) at 719-590-7079. We can send pictures if you're
interested, we just haven't taken any yet.

Thanks,
Brian Botton

I wish I could afford another QS.

25K! To think that I paid 50K for mine (tax, lic, included), just a year ago. Yikes!

By the way, I'll bet your tires are 16", not 15" as you listed. Makes a bit of a value difference, in terms of the weight capactiy of tires available in that size.

Yes, the tires are 16 inchers. I made a typo.

Unfortunately we're just about going to be forced to sell to a dealer Frowner So if anyone's interested they need to act now!

Did you try putting it on Craigslist? You can add it to different areas of the country. Back east (carolina/tennesee) areas are big on trucks. Lots activity in the northern/southern california areas.

Also, did you try autotrader? I agree that dealers aren't too generous with money when you sell direct to them.

we are dropping our price down to $24,000. Only 14,200 miles!

Ouch, one year of depreciation really hurt on this one... edmunds says trade in value is only $20.5k!

Such a nice truck, good luck.
