I know that Corsa won't sell a muffler alone, but have you or someone you know installed a Corsa muffler in the factory muffler position using the existing piping? How did it sound? Can you (as a retailer) get a muffler, just a muffler without all the plumbing? I'm asking this because Corsa makes a kit for all the GM Vortec 6.0 applications except for the 1500hd / 2500 crew cab trucks. They say they won't make a system as every year and mid year there were changes, either in the bends, hanger locations or other things that were just too many to incorporate in the design.
I want a muffler that does what Corsa does, "quiet when it needs to be and bold when you want it". I haven't had good luck with Magnaflow or Flowmaster, and since mufflers are judgemental to the individual, the manufactureres don't offer any 30 day "test drives", so it gets expensive trying mufflers that suit one's tastes.
