Howz about a picture of those exhaust tips in your new signature line? They sound nice.

If the picture doesn't show it, can you please tell me how long they are? The only one's I've seen are goofy looking because they are too short and from many angles you can see where they end.

I'll take a couple of pics tonite.

I wanted the whole Corsa system, but they don't make one for the 1500HD /2500 trucks due to the fact that every year that they've been made, the exhaust hangers are in different locations. They won't sell just the muffler since they say the whole system is an engineered unit. The tips are really cool looking so I put a FloPro 2503 muffler that is a direct replacement for the factory muffler.

I was burned by a Magnaflow muffler on my last truck that it was recommended by alot of muffler shops and many forums. It was loudest between 1600 to 2200 rpm and it drove me nuts - after 2 weeks I yanked it off and put my stock muffler back on, (luckily I kept it).

The FloPro I've got was actually quieter than stock for about 1500 miles, then when it "burned in" I noticed a little bit of growl when I started it up and around 2000 rpm I can hear it if I listen for it.

On the the outside, under load it has a little growl. I really notice it when my wife pulls the boat out the water at the launch ramp (I'm in the boat). Otherwise it's pretty unnoticeable. I just wish I could hear it when I got on it. The good thing is when you're pulling a load for 250+ miles you can't hear the constant drone you get with other performance mufflers. At LS1 Tech.com some people say they picked up 28 ft. lbs on the dyno with this muffler. I can't tell any differece.

Here's a link for the tips: Corsa tips

I got the one for the Dodge application since they don't offer one for the GM pickups. The ones for the SUV's include a section of pipe to make tip sit right. The Dodge application is just the tip.

If you do get the tip, make sure you check the tip alignment before it gets welded on. Have the muffler guy drop the truck down to ground level. You need to stand in the back of truck to make sure the tips sit in line with the tire treads. Then check the side to make sure it sits level with the ground and not match the slope of the fender. I'm lucky I caught that before the guy welded it up.

My wife has a FlowMaster on the Safari Van. With a few other performance mods it has some real get-up-and-go! However, at highway speeds or idling down the back lane, it gives me a headache. Just this constant drone...oh well...it's her ride most of the time.

I checked out the Corsa site. Did you mean that they don't make the "twin tip" for our trucks and that is why you got the one for Dodge (because you specifically wanted twin-tips)? It seems they have a "hydro-formed" single tip for our vehicles.

Also, I looked into the Dodge installation instructions and those for Chevy as well. They all indicate a clamp-on. Did you get a different weld-on model or just have the clamp-on welded?

Looking fwd to a picture...you can answer when you post it if you like.

I'll answer now, I'm stuck here at work for the next 4 hours.

I called Corsa and asked them why they don't offer the dual outlet tip for GM trucks a la carte. They told me they send out the parts to make the installation look factory. They don't offer the tip for the GM pickups because you need to rework the tailpipe to make the tip sit right.

I wanted the dual outlet tip, so they told me to just order the one for the Dodge. The tip is the same, it just doesn't include the prebent length of stainless steel pipe. Plus it's cheaper. These tips are pricey.

I didn't think of it, but the muffler guy told me he was going to weld the tip on so someone with a crescent wrench could steal my "sweet looking exhaust tip". I thought that was a pretty good idea.

Oh, by the way, when I had my exhaust done, I had a 3" mandrel bent tailpipe installed to get rid of that wimpy one the factory puts on the 1500HD / 2500 trucks.

I found this tip at Jim Price Pontiac GMC for $179 plus shipping. I know that's alot for a tip, but after all the $$$ I've already dumped into this truck what's a couple of hundred to finish it off?
